Everyone is invited to join us for a fun day at the ballpark.

 

SKILLS COMPETITION

 

Port hope Minor Baseball will be running a skills competition, free of charge, for kids 14 and under.  Kids will compete within their age group in pitching, hitting and running competitions.  The competition is a Major League Baseball sponsored event and winners in Port Hope will advance to the sectional competition.  Youngsters may advance through 4 levels of competition—Locals, Sectionals, Team Championships (Rogers Centre), and the National Finals at the 2010 MLB All-Star game

 

Brief Overview

Pitch—6 pitches to hit a target from 45 feet away

Hit—3 swings off a tee, the most accurate hit up the middle will be measured for distance

Run—Runner will be timed running from 2^nd base to home.

 

Birth Date/Age Verification chart

Age 7/8 and  Under—Born after July 18, 2001

Age 9/10—July 18, 1999 to July 17, 2001

Age 11/12—July 18, 1997 to July 17, 2000

Age 13/14—July 18, 1995 to July 17, 1997

 

REGISTRATION BEGINS 10:30 AM

 

*Birth Certificate required

*No metal spikes

*Must sign registration/waiver form

*May only compete in one local competition

 

Before you can enter you have to have a registration form filled out and signed by a Parent or Guardian. If your parents can’t come make sure you print the form,  have them sign it and bring it with you.
